| New 2nd Generation Emotional Intelligence tools – Individual
and Team Effectiveness
Blue Oyster is pleased to announce that it is now utilizing these tools in much of its individual development, coaching and team excellence work. As our work pace speeds up and global competition puts extra pressure
on most employees from the Board downwards, the requirement for staff
to be stress tolerant, self-motivated and creative
is increasing. It is more crucial than ever to ensure that your employees
have the necessary skills and attitude to perform their jobs well. Technical
skills, experience and intellect are important parts of the ‘high
performance’ equation, but so too is Individual and Team Effectiveness are two sets of products for assessing
and developing Emotional Intelligence in teams and individuals, based
on extensive work by JCA (Occupational Psychologists) Ltd and the Centre
for Applied Emotional Intelligence (CAEI). They include IE and TE questionnaires
and a range of feedback and development guides. These instruments can
be administered on-line or by paper and pencil to produce The Individual Effectiveness questionnaire measures 16 scales ranging from underpinning attitudes, such as self-regard, to relationship skills such as conflict handling. It is these different levels of analysis and their interaction that makes this instrument so powerful. The Team Effectiveness questionnaire consists of 7 scales and focuses
on diagnosing team problems. Group EI is not just about having a group
of emotionally Intelligent Individuals, it requires the whole group sharing
qualities such as trust, identity, and
